How to Get Rid of Credit Card Debt

]]> There are many ways to get rid of credit card debt.  I will review many of the options, including the advantages and disadvantages of each, throughout this blog.  But before you work on getting rid of your debt, you need to begin with understanding how you got here in the first place.  There are many solutions to help you get out of debt, but if you do not recognize and accept responsibility of how you got here, then chances are good that you will end up back in debt again.

I recommend you start by analyzing your spending habits.  Begin with a budget that includes all of your monthly bills, then analyze your discretionary spending (food, entertainment, travel, extra curricular activities, etc).  Once you determine how you got here, it will be easier to put a balanced budget in place and monitor your spending as you work towards reducing your debt.
